What The Hell DC.

Washington, DC is a super serious place where a whole lot of very weird stuff happens. When that “weird” collides with that “serious,” it becomes *uniquely* weird. What The Hell DC is Annandale, Virginia native David Lawson’s one-man show made up of stories regional and personal about the DC area that will resonate universally. Stories like the proposed Civil War Disney theme park, the legend of the Bunny Man, ethnicities smashing together on the street I grew up on, a mythical place called Midgetville, when a catastrophic plane crash happened the same morning as a deadly subway accident, and more. There aren’t enough DC stories in media. Nobody has done for DC what John Hughes did for Chicago, what Affleck and Damon have done for Boston, and what a metric ton of people have done for New York and LA. And that’s a shame because there has been so much over the years that has made me say “What The Hell DC.” David Lawson has performed on the RISK! live show, Mortified, and Mara Wilson’s What Are You Afraid Of?. He’s performed one-man shows at The PIT, Dixon Place, The Brick, QED, and The Experiment Comedy Gallery. @dtlawson on Twitter. www.dtlawson.com
